Questions, answered

Everything bidders and sellers ask us most. Can't find it? Contact the team.

Do I need an account to browse?

No. Every live auction is open to browse without signing in. You only need an account, with a card on file, when you want to place a bid.

Bidding

Why do you require a card at signup?

It keeps the auction honest. Every bid on the floor is backed by a real payment method, and winners are charged automatically about 10 minutes after their last winning lot closes. Your card's never charged unless you win.

Bidding

How does max bidding work?

Enter the most you're willing to pay and the system bids for you in standard increments, only as high as needed to keep you in front, never past your max. If someone passes your ceiling, we notify you immediately.

Bidding

What is the fair-close rule?

Any bid placed in the final 2 minutes of a lot extends that lot by 2 minutes. Last-second sniping doesn't work here; every bidder gets a fair response window.

Bidding

What does "$1 x10" mean?

Some lots have more than one of the same item. On those, you bid per item. "$1 x10" means the bid is $1 for each item, and the lot has 10 of them. If you win at $3, you pay $3 × 10 = $30 for all 10, plus the 15% buyer's premium ($4.50) and 10.25% CA sales tax ($3.54), for $38.04 in total. The lot page shows the full amount next to your bid, so you'll see the total before you bid.

Bidding

When am I charged?

About 10 minutes after your last winning lot closes, not the moment you win. Lots you win in that stretch go on one charge, and your receipt comes by email once it clears.

Payment

Is there a buyer's premium?

Yes. A 15% buyer's premium is added to the hammer price of every lot you win, unless a different rate is posted for that auction. It is shown under the bid box before you bid and itemized on your receipt.

Payment

Do you charge sales tax?

Yes. California sales tax is charged on the hammer price plus the buyer's premium, at the rate for our Commerce, CA warehouse where you pick up. If you buy for resale, submit your California resale certificate from your dashboard; once we approve it, your future invoices are tax-exempt.

Payment

How does warehouse pickup work?

After you win, you book a pickup window right from your dashboard. Windows are capacity-capped so there are no lines. You'll get email and text reminders with directions and warehouse rules.

Pickup & delivery

Can't make any of the pickup windows?

Submit an exception request with the time you need. A real person on our team reviews and responds, usually within a few hours.

Pickup & delivery

Do you ship?

No. This sale is warehouse pickup only, so we don't offer shipping. You'll book a pickup time at our Commerce, CA warehouse after you win. Want it delivered? Local delivery is available through Lugg.
